We are now on our third consecutive week of a buffalo sauce-inspired recipe. This would be a pretty normal undertaking for anyone with a little bit of creativity, however this last one was a bit challenging for me because what you all may not remember is that I already have a substantial catalog of recipes that are buffalo-inspired. I want to give you, my dear subscribers, the latest and greatest, so I was not going to recycle an oldie.
However, I am going to remind you of them because they do not deserve to be forgotten. They are all certified bangers, in fact. We have these buffalo smashed potatoes, this hot honey buffalo tofu, these Cheez-It crusted buffalo chicken tenders, these buffalo latkes (lol), these buffalo wings, this kale salad with honey buffalo chickpeas, and this buffalo chickpea flatbread.
I am out here breaking my back for the social team at Frank’s, all so that they can completely ignore my existence. SIGH!!! Aside from buffalo sauce, here are some other recent fixations.
Therapy Session Hair Mask
I am on a bit of a healthy hair journey. I am just shy of being 12 months clean from coloring my hair (thank you), and I’m trying to make a habit of doing an occasional hair mask. In general, hair care is wayyyyy too expensive, but this product is extremely affordable ($20 for 16 ounces of product) and it really does make my hair look noticeably smoother and hydrated after I use it. Goodbye damage!!!!
Trader Joe’s Mini Mint Ice Cream Mouthfuls
There are 2 specific moments in my day that give me a zest for life. Without them, I am sad, dejected, and without purpose. The first is my morning coffee (cliche but true) and the second is my mini chocolate and/or frozen treat before bed. Every night I grab my little treat along with a treat for Pepper, then we walk to my bedroom where I rest my weary head and get excited for the coffee that I’ll have in the morning.
My treat of choice is usually a TJ’s dark chocolate peanut butter cup but lately I’ve been really into these sandwiches. I love a full size Chipwich, but the mini ones are nice because it’s small enough that you can eat it before it starts getting melty and messy and chaotic.
I didn’t realize until writing this paragraph that they are called “mouthfuls,” a marketing choice that I am deeply confused by and something I wish I hadn’t known. In fact, I am genuinely sorry that I just wrote an essay about my nightly mouthful before bed.
BTW! ClassPass is offering 1 month free until Feb 15!! It is the best. I will probably get a massage this weekend because I am worth it.
Buffalo Deviled Eggs with Bacon, Blue Cheese, and Chives
Makes: 16 deviled eggs
Active time: 15 minutes
Total time: 25 minutes
Any proper deviled egg should already have a couple dabs of hot sauce, but these deviled eggs get a major upgrade with the addition of buffalo sauce, blue cheese, crumbled bacon, and fresh chives. If you can find the Kettle Buffalo Bleu chips, then more power to you, but any potato chip will suffice. Happy game day!!!!
