this shit rocks no. 56: saltine-sesame chicken cutlets with honey mustard greens!
Plus cute Valentine's day gift ideas!
This was a monumental week here at ST HQ because I have finally been recognized by one of my OG favorite brands, CHEEZ-IT! In fact, I featured Extra Toasty Cheez-Its in the 11th sending of this newsletter.
This has certainly been a long time coming, and I am beaming from the inside out knowing that the good people at Kellogg acknowledge and appreciate my diligent loyalty to such an iconic brand. Honored is an understatement.
This has been a great reminder to me about the power of persistence. How many times did I post about Cheez-Its without any response? MANY! Looks like it’s time for me to re-download my dating apps so that I can launch off a barrage of quirky but not-too-eager messages that will likely yield a room full of crickets. Nevertheless, she persisted, or whatever.
And while we’re on the topic of dating, if you need some cute, lil’ v-day gift ideas, here’s what I’ve got for you:
Spring & Mulberry Date Chocolate! The discovery collection is a nice way to try all the different flavors. I looove the berry one.
This Tiny Hearts Choker by Catbird is TOO cute. This little heart dish is also very precious.

Saltine-Sesame Chicken Cutlets with Honey Mustard Greens
This recipe was admittedly born out of the fact that I have had a neglected sleeve of Saltines in the back of my cabinet for too long. My initial thought for this recipe was that it’d be a great, low-key dish to make at home for V-day (what is sexier than a crispy cutlet?), but as I made it, I realized that this is also just a good ass dinner to make anytime you want and for anybody that you please.
I feel very strongly that mustard greens are an under-appreciated veggie. If you love the peppery, bitterness of fresh arugula or a strong Dijon mustard, you will love mustard greens. Eat them any way that you would a bunch of kale, but expect a zingy, earthy bite of mustard-y flavor.
If you really want to have fun with these cutlets, you can sub or supplement the saltines with pretzels. BOOM.
